Today was such a lazy day for us since it continued raining in the morning. After sad bye to Maeve, we went outside o meet Hsuanhsuan’s friend. We had nice dinner and talk together since they all worked in different field from me. It’s so interesting to know their working content as well as share some updated fashion trend in Taiwan.

After we got back in guesthouse, I also shared some stories with other people about the Camino way in Spain. The hiking trip I did in October was just like a dream to me so far. I do miss the routine schedule everyday that we always woke up around 6:30, ate the breakfast and started walking from 8:00. We always need to share room with more than 20 people, sometimes even more than 50 people. Every night I slept in my sleeping bag and prayed to God to help me reach the destination successfully.

However, I still can’t feel any change after I finished this task. I used to think there are some answers in the end of the road. Maybe I need to follow the advice from Rainer Maria Rilke.

He said..
Have patience with everything that remains unsolved in your heart. Try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books written in a foreign language. Do not now look for the answers. They can’t now be given to you because you couldn’t live them. It’s a question of experiencing everything. At present you need to live the question. Perhaps you will gradually, without even noticing it, find yourself experiencing the answer, some distant day.

Hello! People!
I am sorry for not writing the dairy in time since I was a little bit drunk yesterday. Within these two days, I have great fun with other two helpers. We together went for shopping, cut the hair and ate all the delicious food in Otaru, like Suishi, scuba and mochi. I am so happy to choose Japan as the final destination of my trip to meet more friends and also eat amazing food which I miss most during my stay in Germany.

Japan is the country which possess magic power to me that I will never get tired of coming back here again and again. This time is already my fifth time in Japan, but the first time in Hokkaido. I am extremely appreciated for doing the volunteer work in this trip that I indeed get more sense of the real, local Japanese life. Thanks to Hsuanhsuan’s information and her own experiences, I know more details about Japan culture and the structure of society.

On the other hand, I also found the other big surprise from Maeve that we unbelievably have the common friend in France. My intimate friend is her boyfriend’s good friend. What a great coincidence and how small the world is! Sadly she is leaving tomorrow, but I know for sure that some days in the future, we will encounter each other once more!

Today is all about finding stamp and snowman task. I am so proud of myself not falling down the ground on the super slippery road and completed the mission after all.

Today, I went to Moutain Tengu with the other loving helper. The scenario, of course, is beyond description. Especially for the person like me who live in tropical island, it’s such a rare opportunity for me to enjoy the fantastic snowing events in Hokkaido. Although it’s desperately cold, I was still brave enough to do my very first time- snow angel. It’s so fun, but hurt my hands as well.

While we were crazy taking the pictures, I interestingly encountered one of the guest I met in Waya. What a great coincidence! Furthermore, he is going to stay in Morinoki today! What can I say? Hokkiaido is too small or it’s destined?

No one can predict the future! Only God has the power to arrange it. In Japan, people say “ㄧ期ㄧ會” which means one time, one meeting, once in a lifetime.
We should cherish every moment and everyone we meet in our journey. I believe everything happens for a reason. I may not know the answer yet, but as time goes by, I will eventually find the answer!

Hello! People!
I am the new helper – Kai from Taiwan.

It’s such a pleasure to come in Hokkaido and get the chance to visit Morinoki. Before coming in Otaru, I also worked as a volunteer in Waya guesthouse for three weeks. Everybody in Waya kept on saying how wonderful and fantastic Morinoki is. When I arrived here today, I find this place is beyond my expectation. Cozy atmosphere, cute Hug and Momo, nice people and comfortable accommodation. Although I only stay here for one week, I will try my best to explore interesting stuff to share with you guys.

On the other hand, it’s really sad for me to say Goodbye to loving people in Waya yesterday. I learned so much from my colleagues, guests and neighbors. This feeling makes me think of one song called “We are all in the dance”. Below is the lyric.

Life's a dance We all have to do
What does the music require?
People all moving together
Close as the flames in a fire
Feel the beat Music and rhyme
While there is time
We all go round and round Partners are lost and found
Looking for one more chance
All I know is We're all in the dance

Night and day The Music plays on
We all are part of the show
While we can hold on to someone
We know life won't let us go
Feel the beat Music and rhyme
While there is time
We all go round and round
Partners are lost and found
Looking for one more chance
All I know is We're all in the dance.

It’s common for people who work in hostel to accept that people come and go all the time. I just need more time to get used to it. However, my journey needs to go on and the show needs to continue.

Can’t wait to start working tomorrow and generate more memories in this amazing place :)
